I achieved best a/f mix, and no change after hooking the linkage back up. Should the air flow,between both carbs, still be identicle at 2500-3500 rpm? At idle Ive set them at 7, but at higher rpms one was 12 and the other 16. My linkage is not bent--is

Carbs may be synched at idle but linkage may not be. You want the link to carb angles to be more like this. |-------| instead of this /--------\ the closer to straight the better, although straight is impossible. You also want the angles to be as close

VW air-cooled 2276cc with duel 44 webers. My numbers weren't off the charts last year but I brought it in. what will help the most? Valves, timing, mixture screw, points, idle or spark plug gap and if so which way? I hate to mess with it cause I just

i have like a 1900cc engine how well would a single weber 44 perform as far as ease of adjustments and so forth. I have the twin 44s now and they are a freakin pain off road.

its really hard to run duals off road on any motor. a single 44 would suit off roading and 44 webers work really well with vw's. a single carb is always easier to adjust and tune than dual. you could also look for a stronger linkage which might help
