is it possible to make bbq short ribs indoor? like with a skillet or those indoor electric grill?

Is is okay to put an indoor electric grill in the dishwasher?
I have an indoor electric grill that sits on the counter top while I cook on it. Is is alright to put it in the dishwasher?
It was given to me, no manual. It says nothing about submersion in water on it.
I want to thank everyone for your answers.
check the owner's manual and/or any labels on the grill. if it says that it's dishwasher safe, go ahead, but i would imagine it probably says something along the lines of 'do not immerse' which would mean no dishwasher for you.

I have the larger of the George Foreman range of grills that can be used indoor and outdoor and it is absolutly supberb and are exactly the same in or out as far as taste goes
