Q: I bought a portable gas grill thermos at Target last weekend, and with it a 1LB propane tank. A problem, however.
A: My husband and I used to have the same type of barbecue ... we always used with the propane tank set at a diagonal. It seemed to work very well, and we never had dangerous situations with him.

My grill is an Aussie Adventurer, and is a portable gas grill. I want to use it tonight, but dont know if I should be adding briquettes to the bottom. There is no ledge to place briquettes on, if they were required, they would be placed below the burner.
In the instructions that came with your grill, it would tell you if you needed briquettes. No, since you have a gas grill briquettes are not needed, that's why it's a gas grill.
