Q: I'm looking into these grids to meet the configuration of the island barbecue, and I only have trouble seeing the value in a $ 4,000 Viking or Fire Magic grill. Of course, they are looking for new nice, but what do they look like after a season of use? You have one?

I have a Fire Magic grill (Monarch) & am thinking about cooking a 21-22 lb. turkey on my rotisserie. Last year I tried it & had to take it off since it started to flop everytime it turned over to the back end. Can someone give me some pointers
I don't think any home product will be able to handle a 20+ lb bird! You'd need a commercial rotisserie for a job that big. The main problem with rotisseries, as you found out, is try to balance them. Also, the drive unit on most rotisseries motors

I have a Fire Magic Monarch grill that's capable of cooking up to 75 lbs on the rotisserie. I need some pointers on cooking a 22 lb turkey on the spit. The rod itself is for commercial cooking (heavy duty). How can I put the bird on the spit w/out
In order to properly use the rotiserrie spit, you will need a "counterbalance" weight. Your local BBQ store will have them.
Best to use indirect heat so it does not flame up and burn.
