Q: I try to find a theme for a cake that is scout for dad and son bake sale. It is a cake that looks like a barbecue with hamburgers, hotdogs and kebabs on it. Any ideas?

I got a well used propane bbq grill for free at garage sale. Am I supposed to use charcoal in the bottom of it just above the burners?

Don't use charcoal whatever you do.
It is to direct the heat to all areas of the cooking surface.
Many grills have either lava rock or ceramic brickettes but it does not sound like yours needs one.

Bought an eggplant cause they were on sale. Haven't had it since I was a kid at a friends house. I know you can fry it but any ideas for the BBQ. We're grilling tonight anyway.
